Economic ImpacT: By the numbers

an unprecedented investment in the regional economy

The construction of a modern hospitals system will directly stimulate our region’s economy, attract future investment in medical programs and research, all while providing the healthcare capacity to keep Windsor-Essex economically competitive as a destination of choice for international businesses.

In May 2020, KPMG undertook an updated assessment of the project’s economic impact. The report indicated that hospital construction would create thousands of local jobs and generate billions of dollars for Windsor-Essex and throughout Ontario.
